We look forward to welcoming the European industrial trade union family in Thessaloniki!

This will be the first major European gathering of trade union activists from industriAll Europe’s member organisations since the pandemic.

Nearly 500 national trade union delegates, including the General Secretaries and/or Presidents of 119 industrial trade unions from 34 countries, will take part. This includes, for the first time, our new affiliates from Ukraine. The newly elected ETUC General Secretary, Esther Lynch, will also attend the event. A warm welcome will also be extended to Maksim Pazniakou, President of the Belarusian Independent Trade Union (BITU).

The Mid-Term Conference will give delegates the opportunity to look back on two years of European trade union work since our Online Congress in 2021, and to discuss our organisation’s strategic priorities for the next two years until the next Congress in 2025. They will exchange views on how we can build trade union power and strengthen our membership base to succeed in our fight for:

  1. Strong, sustainable industrial jobs in Europe
  2. Fair pay and working conditions
  3. European solidarity and peace

For the first time, industriAll Europe is launching a Diversity at Work Award to recognise outstanding local trade union initiatives in the field of equal opportunities. The winner has been selected and will be announced at the Mid-Term Conference.

We look forward to welcoming the European industrial trade union family in Thessaloniki!
