The joint meeting gave the opportunity to express a mutual desire to ensure that the improved tone and content of EU/UK relations is maintained, with the shared objectives of growth and prosperity, decent jobs and sustainability.

Geopolitical instability and associated economic shocks make common understanding a vital first step. But we must build on this to secure the future for UK and EU businesses, workers and citizens. The test of a successful reset will be whether it delivers secure, quality jobs, raises living standards, and strengthens workers' rights across Europe. 

The next day, industriAll Europe participated in the Civil Society Forum (CSF) under the European delegation. The CSF is a crucial platform for promoting the collaboration, dialogue, and action on various issues on the TCA. 

IndustriAll Europe highlights the importance of deeper alignment and cooperation. We emphasise the importance of placing workers at the heart of this restored relationship. The restored and continued dialogue is welcome but there is still a lot to do for the implementation of the agreement whilst making sure that workers on both sides benefit from higher standards, good quality jobs and are not left behind.
